Metro Oyster Bar

Location: CBD – 27 Field St, Adelaide

Thinking they only served oysters and not being an oyster fan, I’ve never been interested in going to Metro Oyster Bar, that is until I heard that this authentic, family-run restaurant cooked up amazing Greek food as well.

I went for dinner, and at night the place has a classy and cosy feel with its grey and wooden industrial décor and fireplace alight, which is a nice change from the surrounding casual restaurants of China Town.

I ordered the mixed platter (meat and seafood) as well as the Octopus, which was highly recommended. As expected from Greek hospitality, you get a huge amount of food for what you pay. Everything was well-priced, seriously tasty and well-marinated with a slightly charred flavour, and the chips and pita were also up to standard. I could see why the Octopus was recommended as it was well-cooked, soft and an absolute winner.

A perfect place for dates, if you can get one LOL.

Food: ❤️❤️❤️❤️
